Free-to-download casual game
Where Is My Crown? is a free role-playing game developed by Niji Games. It follows the story of a beaver king who lost his crown after eating too much honey on his inauguration day. Using deductive reasoning, you have to help him find and recover the missing symbol of his authority.
The gameplay of Where Is My Crown? is somewhat similar to the gameplay of Among Us and Suspects: Mystery Mansion. In this casual game, you have to investigate the residents of the castle and find out if they are telling you the truth or just plainly bluffing.
Sweeping, castle-wide royal investigation
If you love getting your brain worked out, Where Is My Crown? is one of those conversation-based puzzle games that you can give a try. The game revolves around the search for the king’s missing crown, which he was last seen wearing on his inauguration day. During the celebration, he managed to consume pots and pots of honey—so much so that he lost consciousness.
The king suspected that this was the point when he lost track of his golden headdress. To recover the missing object and find out the culprit, he decided to open a castle-wide investigation. This is where you have to play your part. Your role is to help him interrogate the animals who serve in the castle and determine whether they are telling you the truth or not.
There are 13 characters you have to deal with, from the maid to the knight, each with a unique personality. The choice of art style makes the game more appealing, but it could be much better if the characters were animated and voice acted. Another aspect where it falls short is in the dialogues. For a game that is heavy in words, the lines are full of grammatical errors.
Could use some reworking
In terms of the gameplay, Where Is My Crown? has the potential to take off. It offers just the right amount of challenge for puzzle lovers to get back and play it again. On top of that, the game features engaging characters and a quite charming art style to boot. However, these strengths can be further boosted with well-written dialogues and animated characters.
