EPUB reader for PC
Thorium Reader is a free and open-source E-reader that was developed by EDRLab for PC. It is an EPUB reading program that allows users to open and read e-books in a .epub format. It supports all kinds of screen sizes and allows users to customize its layout to their preferences.
Similar to other EPUB readers like Adobe Digital Editions and Kobo, Thorium Reader is a program that was designed for users to open and read e-book using a sleek and modern user interface that is easy to use. It also has accessibility options like NVDA or JAWS for visually impaired readers.
How do I use Thorium Reader?
Thorium Reader has a simple and clean user interface the consists of two main view modes. The first one is called Bookshelf and it’s divided into three components. My books screen is where you can view manage your book collection. You can add external feeds like the Open Public Distribution System(OPDS) in the Catalogues section. Then, Settings has your language and keyboard options.
When you select a book to read, the Reader view will appear and will provide various settings and tools that you can use. Change things like the layout, spacing, and theme with the Settings button. See the table of contents, bookmarks, and jump to pages via the Navigation button. You can create a separate window for the reader view with the Detach button.
Lastly, there are keystroke options that you can use for easier usage and navigation. There typically trigger by pressing the Ctrl+(key) that corresponds to a certain action. Apart from that, there are no advanced features in Thorium Reader that you can use, which may or may not be a downside to you depending on your use case.

In summary, Thorium Reader is a great EPUB reader for any who just wants something simple and works well out of the box. It doesn’t have any advanced features to speak of, but in return, you get a beautifully designed program, with a focus on speed and performance—which it has in abundance. Highly recommended.
