Scribblenauts Remix: Maxwell is the first in a series of puzzle games that combine drawing, animation, and story-telling. It was developed with the goal of providing the players with a unique gaming experience. The idea is to take the players on a journey in which they will solve puzzles by creating and animating objects.

Players are given the ability to create their own objects by drawing on a canvas and adding their own animation. Once the players are finished creating their objects, they can then use them to solve puzzles. Each object has a certain function, such as being able to move or interact with other objects.

The gameplay is divided into 50 levels. Each level has a unique theme, such as being underwater or being in a snowstorm. Each level has multiple puzzle elements, such as a maze, a color-matching puzzle, or a puzzle in which the players need to solve a math riddle.
