The Schlenderman is back!
The popular satire game, Schlenderman, is back with Schlenderman – Wien Lockdown. This time, it will take players to the streets of Vienna while it is in lockdown. Your mission is to gather toilet paper rolls at night without getting caught by the infamous boogeyman. Do this, and you will survive till the next day. Schlenderman – Wien Lockdown is a free survival game based on the corona pandemic and everything that has to do with the lockdown.
Gameplay know-how
The first Schlenderman game introduced the players to the faceless man in a suit with overly long limbs. The man took the internet by storm and terrorized people, not only through the game but through the movie made about him. Now, he is making it to Austria in the form of Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. He is lurking behind the shadows, waiting to catch objectors of the imposed lockdown in the city of Vienna.
As noted, the goal of the game is simple. Players will need to collect seven toilet paper rolls for them to unlock the next day. These toilet papers are scattered around, and you have to wander around the city to find them using the WASD keys or your mouse. You can use a flashlight to find them faster, but doing so will help Sebastian find you faster.
You have the option to put on a mask but it will prevent you from running fast. Aside from the threat of Sebastian, Schlenderman – Wien Lockdown also comes with a time limit. You need to collect all the toilet rolls during the exit restriction—8 PM to 6 AM. Fail to do so, and the game is over. Get caught, and you will die. With this, you need a strategy for you to see the light of day.
Low-budget fun
The Schlenderman – Wien Lockdown game is a low-budget horror game, and it is very evident in its design. The entire design looks like it was just cobbled together to form a game. There are also a few bugs that can even cause you to get caught, which can be frustrating at times. However, having low funding does not stop the game from giving players an entertaining, funny, and scary game.
