Free massive fix for SC: Forged Alliance

LOUD PROJECT Mod is a free-to-use game utility created by user Sprouto. This massive mod fixes most performance issues that plagued the real-time strategy game Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. From reworking internal game scripts to changing the AI, this mod totally replaces most of the base game’s core files. Expect drastically reduced issues of crashing and freezing and more competitive gameplay.

Apart from improving the gameplay, LOUD PROJECT Mod is also optimized for other mods, and even runs on copies of the base game from Steam. You can also check out the original game, Supreme Commander.

Single-handedly improving the released version

LOUD PROJECT Mod is a long-running project that has involved other modders in the last nine years. When the original expansion, SC: FA, was released, it was geared toward fixing performance and gameplay issues with the original SC game. However, it came with a number of its own problems—most of them fixed by this mod. For starters, it allows you to run large numbers of armies without freezing or crashing.

While the mod is optimized to run with other third-party add-ons, it tends to crash when running unsupported mods. As a workaround, the entire mod runs on top of the entire core programs of the game when loaded, but it does so from a separate location, allowing you to revert to the original copy without problems. On top of that, it only requires a storage size of 71.92 MB.

One of the key changes it offers is in the AI system, making it a bit more unpredictable and more fun to play with. In the base game, certain design choices allow players to cheese the game or make it unusually easy. Aside from the mod support, it also comes with an entire collection of custom maps for you to test out.

A definite must-have for Forged Alliance

If you’re one of the players who’ve enjoyed Supreme Commander over the years, the LOUD PROJECT Mod is a massive, must-have add-on. Not only does it include support for other mods and its own set of custom maps, but it fixes a lot of problems with the original commercial release. It is now optimized to allow players to enjoy the game on a larger scale.
