Beginner Sesotho – A User-Friendly Language Learning App

Beginner Sesotho, as its name suggests, is a simple and direct language-learning app that aims to introduce beginners and enthusiasts to the Sesotho language. The app follows the ‘a word a day’ concept, providing up to 12 words a day of the user’s choosing.

The app’s algorithm tests the user’s knowledge of the words learned repeatedly, decreasing in regularity as the user becomes more familiar with them. If the user answers correctly, the app will adjust to test them less frequently. If the user answers incorrectly, the app will increase the frequency of testing or deactivate the word until the user learns it. With almost a thousand common and popular Sesotho words available in the app, users can pace themselves and achieve essential knowledge of the Sesotho vocabulary in just a matter of weeks.
