Rewards app for ASDA shoppers
ASDA Rewards is a free lifestyle application for mobile developed by Asda Stores Ltd. It is the official rewards app for customers of the U.K.-based supermarket chain ASDA. With it, they can now do their grocery shopping while earning cash rewards from all of its branches across the country.
Compared to other rewards programs like Tesco Clubcard or Fetch Rewards, which give out coins or vouchers, ASDA Rewards gives out cash incentives to its shoppers. They’ll be able to accumulate and track it from the app, and when they have enough, they can use it for future transactions.
Get rewarded for shopping
Asda Stores, often referred to simply as ASDA, is one of the biggest supermarket chains in the United Kingdom and has multiple branches throughout the country. It offers a wide variety of products and services divided into categories, from grocery items to nonfood merchandise that includes clothing and appliances. With the ASDA Rewards app, you can now earn some cash back from all your transactions.
Using this rewards app is simple and intuitive. All you need to do is have your barcode scanned before checkout, and that’s it. You can check out the Missions and Star Products to know how and what items you can earn cash back from. Rewards are given out in British pounds, and you can track all your earnings in what it calls your Cashpot.
You can then convert your cash to vouchers, which you can use on your next trip for groceries, and they are valid for one month upon conversion. While on the subject, the amount you accumulate in your Cashpot will only last for six months, which is rather short compared to other reward schemes and essentially prevents you from saving up large amounts for big purchases.
A proper loyalty reward program
If you live in the U.K. and do your grocery shopping in ASDA, there’s finally a proper loyalty rewards program courtesy of ASDA Rewards. It’s easy to use and helps you earn cash in various ways. The main knock against it is the rather short validity of your Cashpot, which hopefully, will be changed in the future. Aside from that, this is a must-have.
