Free custom map pack for Frozen Throne
Map Pack. Legends of Draenor Mod is a free-to-use game utility created. This custom add-on contains a set of new and custom maps to be played with the real-time strategy game from Blizzard, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. The maps are connected by a single theme: that of an Uncorrupted Draenor.
Expect massive plains, forests, and swamps inhabited by different forms of life in Map Pack. Legends of Draenor Mod. In true Draenor-only style, the factions available are the native races of the alien planet. Unfortunately, it does not work on the Warcraft III: Reforged release.
Explore the lost world of Draenor
As mentioned, Map Pack. Legends of Draenor Mod tries to bring the original world of Draenor to Frozen Throne players. In the expansive Warcraft lore, Draenor is best known as the planet where orcs, trolls, ogres, and other races came from. It was corrupted by the demons of the Burning Legion, and an interdimensional portal led these races to Azeroth, where they met elves, men, and other new races.
For long-time players of the classic Blizzard RTS, it can feel visually similar. However, it’s important to note that the details make these maps special, especially one that contains plants and life supposedly not found in Azeroth. It goes without saying that the new map layouts also open up new gameplay possibilities, especially since the mod features all-new factions: eight major factions and seven minor ones.
This package only requires small storage sizes of less than 15 MB despite containing dozens of maps. Hardcore fans of the franchise might find inconsistencies between map packs here and details featured in the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor expansion. These are meant for RTS experiences, and the developers explain that they’ve taken creative liberties. Plus, most of the maps are fun, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
A must-have for Frozen Throne players
The Frozen Throne has been out since 2003 but it retains a sizable player base, and Map Pack. Legends of Draenor Mod is a fun, almost must-have addition to your game library. It features a lot of custom maps for its small file size and more importantly, it gives players a creative insight into what the orc homeworld looked like, factions included. Highly recommended.
