Tower defense games are common on mobile devices, but GRave Defense HD Free has to be one of the most entertaining.

GRave Defense HD Free is another entry in strategy tower defense games, but while many other games in the same genre use mythical monsters, medieval settings, or have plants fighting zombies; GRave Defense HD Free uses the horror genre.

Gameplay for GRave Defense HD Free utilizes the standard format for the genre. Users set up various “towers” that fire on monsters who lumber through a path on the map. GRave Defense HD Free includes six levels along with a multitude of different types of towers to use. The monster types have different classes like sprinters and tanks. Careful placement of towers is necessary with the various number of waves per level.

The visuals for GRave Defense HD Free are impressive. Each level is very detailed and animations of the towers and monsters was are executed. It is easy to tell the monsters apart especially during later waves when there are many monsters on screen. GRave Defense HD Free’s audio carries one of the best soundtracks for a tower defense game. It creates tension as waves come from different directions.

GRave Defense HD Free is an excellent tower defense title. It adds some life to the genre with its different direction and added storyline.
