Pehchaan Criminal Record Check is a free tool for helping Pakistani citizens conduct background checks on individuals, ensuring workplace safety and reducing cases of abuse and other criminal activities. If possible, clients must call or head to the nearest police station to verify the information they see in the app.

Whether you’re marrying your partner or hiring an employee, Pehchaan Criminal Record Check will help keep you safe from potential criminals. Developed by the Punjab Police and the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), it uses the Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) to search and check a person’s criminal record.

This way, you’ll find out if the person in question has received a First Information Report (FIR), a document prepared by a police officer upon the complaint of a cognizable offense. Sadly, this app is only for Pakistanis as the sign-up process requires a Pakistani phone number. 

Data verification is recommended

With the ability to look up someone’s criminal record, the Pehchaan Criminal Record Check app grants companies, households, and individuals an extra layer of protection from potential criminals. Though helpful, it’s recommended to consult your local police department to verify criminal data.
