Slizer Battle Management System: A Sci-Fi Real Time Tactics Game
Slizer Battle Management System is a sci-fi minimalist Real Time Tactics game that takes place on a large spatial scale, similar to battle management software used in the science fiction genre. The game offers complex movement, damage, and detection that replaces intense micro and economy management, making it a strategy game without the stress. Before going into battle, players select and outfit their units with very limited reinforcement. The game is played over large scales to slow the pace down and give players enough time to react.
In Slizer Battle Management System, every unit lost limits players’ options, but every enemy destroyed limits the enemies’ options. Players must plan ambushes and tactical manoeuvres to defeat forces larger than their own through well thought out choices instead of mechanical skill. The game focuses on the strategic and tactical choices that turn the tide of battle, while limiting the effectiveness of and need for micromanaging units.
