The Bible is the central religious text of Christianity. It consists of the Old Testament and the New Testament.

In the Old Testament, the God of the Jewish people is revealed to them through the prophet Abraham, who tells them to worship God and not to sacrifice animals or young boys. After the death of the first human beings, God promises to save those people and tells them to leave Egypt to go to the Land of Israel.

In the New Testament, the Jesus (יהוה‎, in Hebrew: יהוה‎; born of a Jewish woman and a Roman soldier, Jesus lived and taught in the city of Nazareth in the land of Israel. He was considered the Son of God and the Saviour of mankind.
