Endless worm wars
Worms 4 once again revisits Team 17’s brilliant-based physics combat while adding improved graphics, multiple game modes, and a high degree of customization
War for all
Worms 4 has evolved
If you enjoy a multiplayer challenge you can play with others around the world simultaneously online to prove yourself. You’d rather play solo? Then enjoy the more than 80 single-player missions. There is also a quick play mode – ideal for short games on the train – and global challenge.
One of the advantages of Worms has always been the arsenal of weapons available. In Worms 4 we find more than 100 weapons, allowing for many combinations and many styles of play.
You can also customize your worms and give them their own name and look.
Enjoyable strategy
At this stage of life, unless you do not play games at all, it is hard not to know the mechanics of the Worm games. But if you have somehow missed it, l’ll summarize: lead a team of worms to wipe out other teams worms.
To do this you move the characters around the 2D stages and use weapons, objects, and the environment to your advantage. Taking it in turns with your enemies, you must use good strategy to wipe them off the map – like a slimy game of chess.
The touch system is perfect for Worms 4: with movement, weapon selection, and another abilities all easy to manipulate.
Worms 4 follows the same visual style as previous Team17 titles but with some refinements and optimization for the small screen. There are also the legendary sound effects that Worm veterans know and love.
Worms play great on touch
Worms 4 is a great adaptation of Worms for touchscreens: playing great, filled with game modes, and aesthetically unbeatable. Can you ask for more? Well, it could be free – but sometimes it’s worth paying a little to get such a polished game.
