Build a base that will withstand zombie attacks
Zombie Attack is a free top-down game appropriate for all ages. Your stronghold is under attack by zombies, but if you kill enough enemies, you can upgrade your base as well as unlock more bases. Fellow survivors will help you along the way. Earning crystals allows you to open new bases, which hold more jobs for survivors.
Although the title might suggest a survival horror game similar to Resident Evil 4, the gameplay and graphics of Zombie Attack are closer to simple management games like Money Print Idle. The goal is to kill zombies for money so that you can build more equipment and harvest more resources. You can also install automatic guns.
Find jobs for survivors
As well as fighting off zombies (your character will shoot automatically upon approaching enemies), you will need to find survivors and give them jobs. At first, there are two jobs available: builders that construct fortifications and miners who dig up crystals.
Recruit soldiers
Once you have reached the second base, you will have new soldier job positions open to the survivors you find. Soldiers will hunt down and shoot any zombies that attack the base, but they also tend to be the first ones killed. That means you’ll need a regular stream of survivors to keep your army.
Basic graphics
Many players will find the game’s graphics a turn-off. The app uses the same generic visuals used in many free management sims. The playable character is a featureless blue figure. Survivors are featureless yellow figures, and zombies are featureless red figures. Still, the complete lack of horror makes it appropriate for children.
A novel mix
While the shooting and management aspects of the game are both simple, seeing them in this combination is quite unusual. However, once the first few bases have been unlocked, the novelty value does not stop the gameplay from getting repetitive.
