Free shopping app for fashion items
ZARA is a free shopping mobile app that allows you to browse and buy clothes and other fashion products online. Developed by Inditex, this handy app is the official mobile version of ZARA, the popular apparel store. It’s similar to other shopping apps, however, it doesn’t have a great reputation with the store’s users because of its app design.
Any fashion need
Zara SA, stylized as ZARA, is a Spanish apparel retailer based in Spain. It specializes in “fast fashion,” wherein clothing, accessories, and the like are mass-produced at low cost for more profitable avenues. Similar to other fast fashion brands, ZARA has a website where you can do online shopping—and with the advent of mobile apps, it eventually rolled out an app of its own so users on the go can easily access its catalog.
Now, this mobile version is pretty much just like its competitors—Polyvore, Lazada, and Flipkart, to name a few. It has an interface where you can see its three main categories: Man, Woman, and Kids. You can either tap these or scroll the screen up to show a menu similar to the website’s layout. However, the way the items are displayed isn’t really intuitive for mobile users.
Aside from these categories, you can access 5 tabs on the bottom of the screen: Search, Bookmarks, Main Menu, Profile, and Shopping Bag. You can use the app without an account but to use Bookmarks and Profile, you need to register one. Plus, your location has to be enabled for the app whenever you shop. Unfortunately, the app can sometimes crash during transactions and even load too slowly, not updating some products’ statuses.
Better as a website
The ZARA app is pretty much a mirror image of the store’s website. However, this is a disadvantageous feature of the app, as mobile users often find browsing it to be a hassle. Additionally, it can feel slow when loading and crashes often so perhaps you can shop much easier using other apps or just simply visiting the official website.
