All-around file-sharing app
Xender Movie : File Transfer is a free-to-use utility from Beijing AnQiZhiLian Inc. This serves as a file-sharing app with rapid transfer capabilities. Aside from quickly sending files between devices, it also comes with its own media player you can use for streaming videos or playing music.
Although its basic features work surprisingly well, the additional services offered by Xender Movie : File Transfer makes it a sketchy platform. It promises rewards for accomplishing simple tasks. Unfortunately, this app doesn’t always deliver as promised, leaving users frustrated aside after going through ads and other apps. It essentially works like SHAREIt or AnyTrans.
Transfer files, and more
In terms of its file-sharing services, Xender Movie : File Transfer operates and looks a lot like SHAREit. It also relies on Wi-Fi technology to quickly transfer large volumes of files. In terms of interface, it also features the same animation when scanning devices, although it uses a green background instead of the familiar blue. On the plus side, the familiar designs make it immediately intuitive for new users.
As an all-around sharing platform, the app makes it easy to connect to a PC. You can either scan a QR code, enter the IP address, or scan the setup via Wi-Fi as with other devices. However, most of these options require a desktop version of the app. Additionally, the mobile version also supports opening media files and streaming right from the home screen, adding convenience for the user.
Aside from its media player, the app also has a suspicious “Watch, Share, Earn” section that supposedly rewards users for completing tasks. The videos featured are sorted by genre and even provide a search bar for easier navigation. However, the issue lies in the fact that the rewards promised by the app are rarely delivered, especially in cases that involve monetary rewards.
An unusual SHAREit copy
While most apps inspired by SHAREit are limited to using the same file-transferring technology, Xender Movie : File Transfer goes beyond. The shared similarities between the two apps make Xender feel like a bootleg, although it does carry that sense of familiarity. The same technology plus the same designs mean that it works as an alternative, provided you don’t venture into its rewards program.
