Follow data packets from one machine to another

Have you ever wanted to know what’s happening between two machines in terms of the data packets they are sending and how they are being sent.

WinTrace is useful because it allows you to view the routing information of a website such as the IP address, response time, hostname and country. Simply enter a Web address or a valid host name or a valid IP address and WinTrace brings up a detailed breakdown of the traffic information. Note that if you’re having problems installing it, it’s probably because you don’t have Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or higher installed. The information yielded by WinTrace won’t be of much use to the average home user but for network administrators or webmasters who have been experiencing network traffic problems, it’s much easier than trying to identify the problem by isolating certain aspects of the connection and testing them separately. If your traffic is being intercepted or interfered with in anyway, then WinTrace should reveal abnormal packet readings.

A useful tool for network managers and webmasters worried about the security of traffic to their site or network or trying to identify a problem.

Traceroute program; useful to view the routing information of a Web site (information displayed: IP address, response time, hostname and country).

Enter a Web address or a valid host name, e.g. http://www.google.com or google.com, or a valid IP address, e.g. 72.14.207.99. This program requires the Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or higher.
