Firefox Windows Media Player Plugin Lets You Browse with Tunes

Do you listen to your music while surfing the internet? It?s a pretty common combination especially during leisure time. Some also like to listen to other media like podcasts while reading up on a subject or visiting social media. The downside to this is you need your music player open in the background but the Windows Media Player Plugin for Firefox lets you do both at once and it?s free to use.

Music without Media Player

The Windows Media Player Plugin for Firefox is a great example of how plugins are useful a little bolt-on bit of software which works in concert with the Firefox browser to save time and effort. In essence it puts a small version of Windows Media Player in your browser so you can control your music without alt-tabbing. This plugin was once part of Windows in the time of XP but there is an after-XP version it just needs to be downloaded. Sadly there is not support for 64-bit Firefox and Firefox is dropping some plugin support in 2017. Still while you have it this is a great way to access music like having a remote control.

A Simple Musical Solution

The Windows Media Player Plugin is a great addition to Firefox. It does take some figuring out to install but there are guides. It?s a shame that the support isn?t better but for free it?s a handy boost to browsing.
