Get a complete system report

The Windows Inspection Tool Set displays detailed information about your computer. The program doesn’t really offer any data that you can’t find in Windows by yourself, but it gathers it under a single location and a very intuitive interface.

You’ll be able to check active processes, open services, user groups, available network connections, information about drives (including both local and networked ones) and a lot more. The program also includes a run menu that enables you to launch certain commands and Windows apps just by typing in their names.

All these features are made available in a very clear interface. However, I didn’t like the fact that you have to manually expand the sidebar windows every time you open any of the program’s options. I also missed the possibility to print out or export the different reports generated by the program.

Access detailed info about many aspects of your PC in a single window

The Windows Inspection Tool Set (WiTS) provides you with cross-linked, filtered views into a Windows system. View operating system information, processes, services, users, network interfaces and connections, file shares, printers and more. Get notified of system resource status, new network connections, process starts and exits, service status and other system events.

See what this program features for you:

  • WiTS supports viewing and monitoring of several different types of objects, such as processes, network connections, users and more.
  • Once installed, WiTS is automatically started when the user logs on to the system and can be accessed through the system tray and optionally through hotkeys that provide quick access to views.
  • The WiTS main window allows access to various views and general tools. It also includes a command line to run external programs as well as internal commands to search and display objects.
  • WiTS list views show the properties of objects in table form. The views can be customized to show specific properties as well as sorted and filtered to focus on a specific set of objects. Multiple objects may be selected to be the target of an action or tool.
  • WiTS property page views can be used to see details of a specific object and invoke actions on them.
  • The WiTS event monitor view tracks and displays various system events such as new processes, user logons, new network connections and more.
  • All WiTS views, including events logged in the event monitor, are linked so that it is easy to navigate between views of related objects.
  • Various aspects of WiTS behaviour, include assignment of hotkeys to views, can be controlled through the preferences dialog.
