Free update to Windows 10
The Windows 10 Creators Update is the latest major update to Windows 10. Although it’s not as packed with big new features like the previous Anniversary Update, it does include some welcome new additions and tweaks to existing ones that help improve the user experience and address some of the other concerns people may have had with Windows 10 before now. The Windows 10 Creators Update can be considered as more of a quality of life upgrade than adding any major new features.
A bevvy of improvements
Among the improvements comes the much desired ability to fine-tune the telemetry data that gets sent to Microsoft. You can’t turn it off completely outside of enterprise versions, but the new more granular nature of the telemetry data allows users to choose how much data is shared. Other improvements include being able to install Windows 10 using Cortana and voice commends, support for picture in picture mode so you can watch your TV shows while working in another window, performance tweaks to game mode and built in support for Twitch streaming, ‘Night Light’ which allows you to adjust monitor brightness based on time of day and plenty more.
Conclusion
While there are no major standout features in the new update, Windows 10 Creators Update features a variety of smaller tweaks that add up to a much bigger picture.
