It is a tiny, colorful, and very rare bird. It is only found in two spots in the world: in India and China. There are only about 120,000 to 140,000 white-rumped shamas in the world. They live in the mountains and forests. Their favorite food is fruits and berries.
The White-Rumped Shama has a very interesting life cycle. In the spring, the female shama birds produce a batch of tiny white eggs. The eggs hatch in about three weeks. The baby bird then remains in the nest for about six weeks. After six weeks, the baby bird will be strong enough to leave the nest. The parents will then start feeding their babies.
