A time-looping horror game set in space

We Went Back is a free time-looping horror game set in the confines of an abandoned space station. The protagonist wakes up alone on the station and must find a way to escape, though they soon realize they are not actually alone, and their escape becomes one of survival.

This game is an isolation horror, similar to the aptly named Alien Isolation and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The player must navigate the environment from a first-person perspective and try to stay alive long enough to escape.

Alone in space

In We Went Back, the player takes on the role of an unnamed protagonist who wakes up alone on an abandoned space station. They must find clues and solve puzzles to escape, but there is something else in there with them. The player must find their way through the looping station, solving puzzles and staying alive until they can escape.

Impressive visuals and an interesting setting

The visuals on display in We Went Back are quite impressive, though players will need a decent spec computer to get the most out of the graphics on offer. The environment is dynamic and constantly changing, and the dark atmosphere with retro aesthetic help sell the unsettling nature of the situation that the protagonist finds themselves in.

Impressive but short

For fans of the looping gameplay mechanic of P.T. for PC, the gameplay of We Went Back will feel familiar. Like that teaser, however, this game is quite short, with the devs claiming around 30 to 50 minutes of playing time. Some of the achievements also require more than one playthrough, as it would be impossible to get them on the first attempt.
