Free real-time strategy game
War and Magic is a free RTS application that is available on Android and Apple iOS portable devices. Developed and published by GOAT Games, War and Magic: Kingdom Reborn is a multiplayer game that requires patience to play. Divided among the kingdoms, lords survey the terrain to perform tasks and survive. The video game is rated: ‘Teen’.
Is War and Magic free?
While War and Magic is free to download and install, the game offers in-app purchases to the gamers. Users are prompted to spend money to buy accessories. The developers claim that the community can collect resources for free by finishing daily assignments. If people do not want to be flooded by in-app advertisements, then another title may be in call.
What is War and Magic?
The gameplay for War and Magic: Kingdom Reborn is centered around developing civilization, gathering resources, recruiting troops, and fighting enemies during battles. The warriors partake in turn-based fights to conquer land and supplies. Within their cities, players obtain and trade goods with their Alliance allies. Similar to Clans and Guilds, Alliances are groups of gamers that collaborate together to accomplish tasks.
Alliances are integral to the War and Magic gameplay. Characters team up together to perform rallies, build their territories, and donate heroes. Along with giving away items and troops, Alliances can receive resources. Once teams have received enough donations, then they are able to increase their capabilities. As groups level up, new content is accessible for them: more than 50 members to a team.
To play War and Magic: Kingdom Reborn, people need to have patience. When a collective decides to hold a rally, the organizer determines the amount of time until the event starts: 5, 15, or 60 minutes. The system will set timers for activities within the RTS game, which lords need to tolerate before continuing with specific tasks.
The amount of control that an individual player has on an Alliance is limited. To benefit from other players, users will need to follow orders from the Alliance leader and spend actual money. If the teams become restrictive, then the gamers are able to leave the Alliance. Points that have been earned while in an Alliance are lost when the player abandons the collective.
To survive, the characters will compile vital resources together for themselves and their city. Crystals, Food, Gems, and Wood let users upgrade their buildings and recruit warriors. The Gold material can speed up time and send mail and wishes. If people want to learn new technology at the Academy, then they need the Philosopher’s Stone.
The simple gameplay
The system leads the community with prompts. Along with the gloved hand that points to the next steps, there are context menus that pop up to give players options. Structured mechanics may inhibit creative gaming styles. An area of War and Magic that gives more freedom to people is within the battles.
During combat, you can choose powerful actions to come up on opponents. If people do not want to choose strategic forces, then they can opt for the auto-attack feature. Along with the chessboard gameplay, there are mini-games available to play that involve finding hidden gems. You can discover more skills as levels are unlocked.
Graphics within War and Magic display an astonishing kingdom that lords can explore. The cities include buildings such as the City Hall, Market, Academy, Embassy, Watchtower, Altar, etc. While certain buildings can only be created once within a city, there are buildings that can be built multiple times: the Farm, Sawmill, Tent, Hospital, Crystal Mine, etc.
Each structure can level up and has a specific purpose to discover. The City Hall increases the number of heroes and construction time of buildings. To distribute and pick up units from Alliance members, you can go to the Market. Depending on the level that the Market is at, a limited amount of resources can be delivered and received there.
Alternative role-playing strategy apps
War and Magic: Kingdom Reborn is comparable to the video game Heroes of Might and Magic. While War and Magic is compatible with Android and Apple iOS mobile devices, Heroes of Might and Magic is available on Apple Mac, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation, etc. A not-so-nice aspect of War and Magic is that developers copied the audio components from the Heroes of Might and Magic.
The King’s Bounty is an additional fantasy game that involves sustaining an empire through turn-based battles. Another strategy game is Age of Wonders.
While the graphics within War and Magic are magnificent from above and zoomed in, many moving mechanics are within Age of Wonders. The storylines for War and Magic, Heroes of Might and Magic, and King’s Bounty are about kingdoms, whereas Age of Wonders takes place in a science-fiction environment.
Available on PC computers and laptops, Disciples is a turn-based combat series that has a darker theme.
Along with versions of Age of Wonders and the King’s Bounty, War and Magic is free, whereas the Heroes of Might and Magic and Disciples games are purchasable.
Android and Apple RTS app
War and Magic is a survival game for Android and Apple mobile phones. While the application is free, there are in-app purchases that you can take advantage of to advance further within the game. You can manage the civilization that you are in by building structures within cities, collecting goods to use and trade, recruiting troops, and battling with enemies to maintain and obtain land and resources.
