Extend the hibernation and suspension options of your PC
WakeUp automates the hibernation and the suspension of the PC if your computer does not come preinstalled with an energy or power management scheme.
The program has five functions: activate or deactivate hibernation, awaken the computer after a time or a certain time, run an application when the computer is revived, suspend the computer at a specific time and prevent it from doing so if there is network activity. In essence, WakeUp extends the options added to the suspension of the computer to enhance the usefulness of this feature.
The problem is that if you’ve got a laptop or PC that came pre-installed with an energy scheme, this program may conflict with it meaning your PC hibernates in some rather strange ways or at the wrong moment. On the plus side, it’s very easy to use and light on resources.
If you’re constantly away from your PC and need to keep it cool or don’t want the hard drive to burn out, this is an excellent way to preserve it.
WakeUp is simple tool which gives you greater control over the suspensions and hibernation options of your PC.
You can allow or disallow suspensions of your PC, choose between standby and hibernation (if supported by your system) and much more.
