Verificador SAT: Official Application for Authenticity Verification of Cigarette Security Codes

Verificador SAT is the official application of the Tax Administration Service (SAT) that allows the verification of the authenticity of the graphic representation of the security code printed on cigarette packs sold in Mexico. It is a free Android application that lets you validate the security code by scanning or capturing the graphical representation (dotcode) code or the alphanumeric random appearance to 12 positions of the cigarette packet. The validation process is based on the production data provided by the manufacturer or importer and stored on the database of the SAT.

The main navigation page displays two options: Scan and Capture Code, both of which are easy to use and provide quick results. The application is designed to ensure that the security codes on cigarette packs are authentic, which is a crucial step towards reducing the sale of counterfeit products in the market.
