What is USSD?
USSD, or U.S. Standard Signal Density, is a method of providing mobile phone service. It allows the user to make calls and send texts using a wireless connection, even if the network is not equipped with the proper hardware.
It uses a technique called frequency modulation (FM) to send voice and text data. The frequency is the basis for the communication.
Why is it used?
USSD is used because it provides better service than the standard method of sending data through the air, which is used by all the mobile phone companies. The frequency used for USSD is lower than the standard frequency of voice and text data. This means that the amount of data that can be sent is greater.
How is it used?
To use USSD, the user must have a compatible mobile phone with a data connection. The user then installs the application on the phone and sets the frequency. The phone then connects to the network and receives the signal. The user can now make calls and send text messages through the network.
What is the advantage of using USSD?
USSD can be used for both voice and text data. This means that the user can send both audio and text messages. The user can choose the frequency and the network can be chosen from among the available networks in the area.
