US Bubble Shooter Fun Game 2018 is a free puzzle mobile video game that lets you play bubble-popping fun in classic match-3 style. Developed by Extrude Gaming Studio, this bubble shooter game offers tons of colorful levels. US Bubble Shooter Fun Game 2018 is similar to other bubble games, but this one has the festive theme of America’s Independence Day.
More than two
Under the puzzle game genre, tile-matching or is a subcategory where you have to manipulate tiles in order to make them disappear according to a matching criterion—usually, that is the same type or color or tile. If 3 or more tiles are together in a cluster or a line, you can get rid of them and earn points—hence, the term “match-3.”
They’re generally called “tiles” because of the very first format of the in-game elements. However, these can take on other shapes, too, and this is where bubble shooter games became distinctive in the puzzle genre. In bubble shooters, you wield a gun of sorts that has colored balls for ammo. The common goal is to get rid of as many colored clusters of bubbles as possible during the time limit.
Mostly, this limit is before they reach your side of the screen since most of these shooters have the bubbles slowly falling towards you. Unlike tile-matching, the bubbles are set up like bricks, and they can be popped as long as they have three or more similarly-colored neighbors with them.
Same old stuff
In US Bubble Shooter Fun Game 2018, the mechanics are fairly the same. Unlike other games, however, this bubble shooter offers a variety of different goals for every level. Some levels need you to clear the pathways for you to win. You don’t need to eliminate all bubbles. Others, meanwhile, need all bubbles popped before a certain item can be obtained. It’s only too bad that the background and theme for each level don’t change. You’ll always be faced with the same circus-like stage as you play.
The game also allows you to swap bubble color if you can’t use the current color for the current layout of bubbles. After all, you only have a handful of them, and using them all up will fail the level. You can swap by tapping the Swap symbol between the two hovering balls. However, it can be tricky to do so because it’s small.
Aiming your shots by using the walls to change their trajectory can also be annoying. Aiming and releasing your hold sometimes doesn’t register, so you have to aim again. Aiming isn’t accurate, either. This game doesn’t feature any main story campaign to supplement your playing like in Bubble Witch Saga. If you fail a level and don’t retry using coins you can buy, then you’ll lose a heart—a maximum of 5 which regenerates over time. Fortunately, you can buy powerups.
Not too interesting
When compared to other match-3 bubble shooters, US Bubble Shooter Fun Game 2018 actually falls a bit flat. The biggest issue with it is its controls. They can be a bit wonky and even interrupt your gameplay. Plus, the lack of other elements outside of the gameplay makes the whole game a bit boring and unmotivating after a while.
