Custom content pack for RA3
Uprising Reborn Mod is a free mod developed by ItzTeeJaay-. It follows a new timeline where FutureTech, a defense contractor for the Allies in the Red Alert franchise, has stolen enough technology from the Empire of the Rising Sun, the Soviets, and their own Allied benefactors. Here, FutureTech emerges as its own power with all-new units, structures, and technologies.
The Uprising Reborn Mod content and story are made to act as a sequel to the standalone expansion Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 – Uprising despite being created as an add-on to the strategy game Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3.
Reworked factions plus a new one
The main offering of Uprising Reborn Mod for RA3 players is the addition of a fourth faction, the FutureTech. Visually, it feels like a combination of the three but more geared toward looking futuristic. It uses a combination of existing models from the other three factions and a couple of original models. Surprisingly, the addition of an entirely new faction doesn’t break the game; the gameplay is balanced well.
Aside from FutureTech, the other three factions also get a number of reworks and new content. The iconic Prism Tank, for example, gets a redesign. The Soviets even get a couple of new, original units such as the TIER4 Navy Ship, which is quite challenging to unlock but definitely worth it—without breaking the game of course. Unfortunately, some unit models glitch when in-game, with assets or textures not loading.
Also, the mod imports all assets from the Uprising expansion for play in the base RA3 game. In doing so, it also reworks the campaign, making the standard-fare RTS adventure a lot more challenging. In fact, it’s quite difficult to complete even for experienced players. Other than the minor texture/ asset glitch, there have been no game-crashing problems so far. Its minor inconveniences wouldn’t affect your experience at all.
Bring Uprising and more to the vanilla version
One fun feature of this mod is that it brings the entire Uprising experience to the base RA3 game and more. By adding a fourth faction, it feels like a reasonable continuation of the story. It does not even end with custom FutureTech content, though, reworking the rest to retain a fresh look and a balanced gameplay experience. The only challenges are the increased difficulty and minor visual glitches.
