How to Make a Transparent Taskbar on Windows 10
There are a couple of ways to make your Taskbar transparent on Windows 10. The first option is to edit the Registry. The Registry is a central database in Windows that stores many different parameters, such as the startup sequence of windows, how hardware drivers are loaded, and how some windows applications operate. It also plays a central role in the overall system. To change the Transparency Effect, you must go into the Settings app of your Windows 10 or 11 PC, and open the Accessibility section. Then, choose the ForceEffectMode value to be set to 1.
The next option is to manually configure the Transparency Effects. This involves editing the Windows Registry. However, it’s important to remember that editing the registry can lead to serious damage, so be sure to backup your computer’s system before you begin. You can open the registry by pressing the Windows key + R, and type “regedit.cfg”. You’ll need to change the Value Data for “EnableTransparency” to enable Transparency on your Taskbar. To activate the new setting, restart your PC. This will make sure that the changes are applied to your Windows 10 system.
To disable the Transparency Effect, go to your Personalization settings. To do this, click on the Settings icon on your taskbar. Select the Visual Effects tab. In the Colors section, select the Background image for your Taskbar. Now, your Taskbar will be material. The next step is to change the Transparency Effects to the desired color. Then, you’re ready to use your new transparent Taskbar!
