TNRD Work Inspection: An App for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department

TNRD Work Inspection is an Android application developed by the National Informatics Centre for the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu. This app is designed exclusively for inspecting officers who visit various rural areas across Tamil Nadu to inspect the quality of the works executed by various contractors. The app provides officers with a Register Option to register their mobile number, designation, and working location. Upon verification, they receive a password via message.

To inspect a work, an officer has to log in to the mobile app and select the works from a village under different government schemes. They can capture up to four photographs and enter remarks in Tamil/English. The photographs and remarks will be uploaded to the server. The app works both online and offline. District-level and state-level reports are generated to monitor the officers about their inspection duty. The app also has provisions to change passwords and transfer locations from the mobile app.
