Premium asymmetrical horror experience
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a premium action game based on the popular suspense-horror movie franchise of the same name. What makes this particular survival horror experience unique is that you can experience being the lonesome survivor or the maniac murderer. Regardless of your role, you must remain cunning and resourceful to succeed.
Produced by Gun Media Holdings, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre boasts a similar experience to Friday The 13th: The Game. It boasts a PvP (player vs player) gameplay and comes with a map to help you navigate your way through each match.
Relive the classic horror franchise
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre horror film entered the scene in 1974 and now you can experience it through this fast-paced game. However, there’s a twist; you can choose whether you want to be a hunter or the prey. As a killer, your primary objective is to stop the victims from escaping your family’s estate and eliminate them. Choose among five killer characters: Leatherface, the Hitchhiker, the Cook, Johny, and Sissy.
When it comes to choosing a character, be mindful that each killer has a unique weapon, attributes, and skills; for instance, Leatherface uses his trademark weapon, a chainsaw to maim his victims, while the Hitchhiker is skilled in making boobytraps throughout the map. If you want to know what it feels like to be a victim, you can also choose from five survivor characters: Ana, Julie, Connie, Sonny, and Leland.
This horror game follows a 3v4 format; for each round, there are three killers and four survivors. The family hunts the survivors while the other team tries to survive, escape each level, and eliminate their hunters. Make sure to use the map’s hiding spots to your advantage. However, cross-progression isn’t available for the game. With this, your progress is tied to a specific platform and can’t be carried over to a different one.
The next action game to try
Overall, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game is an excellent option for those who want a spine-chilling experience. Successfully recreating the feel of its 1974 film inspiration, providing intense gameplay, and a great set of characters, there’s nothing else a horror-loving gamer can ask for. Aside from the lack of a cross-progression feature, it’s an amazing program that can keep you entertained and on your toes for hours.
