Best for pet lovers
You can now take care of pets both in real life and the game. Sims 2 Pets is a game expansion pack for everyone’s favorite simulation game. It is developed by Electronic Arts and features a vast number of animal breeds for you to take care of!
Train your furry buddy
Your pets can become your best friends in the Sims game and you can even train them to do jobs! There are 3 careers they can choose from: showbiz, security, and services. Having them do jobs will also help you boost your income. In this game feature, your pets will be picked up from your car and whisked away for a certain period of time. When they come back, expect an increase in your bank account. Continue training your pets until they get promoted in their respective jobs. This comes with a higher income!
Of course, you can also train them to do tricks just like in a normal owner and pet relationship. Some of these tricks are roll over, handshakes, and sitting down. Just spend a few hours of training and they will be quick to master these actions. This does not mean that the selection of pets is limited to canines and felines only. You can also own birds and hamsters. These two animals, however, prefer to stay inside their cages most of the time.
Your pet’s behavior will also depend on the way you treat them and spend time with them. In most cases, they will learn and adopt the same attitude your human sim has. Also, dogs and cats have the tendency to act independently. When you leave them unsupervised for long periods of time, they can become rowdy and wild. This can lead them to destroy things inside your house like your furniture. To avoid this from happening, keep a close eye on them and never forget to praise them when needed but that does not mean you should refrain from scolding them. You should have a balanced way of treating and approaching your pets.
The more the merrier
Just like human sims, your pets can also interact with other animals and get friendly with them. In some instances, the friendship between pets can evolve into something more and before you even know it, you already have a bunch of baby animals under your roof. Taking care of so many pets can be challenging but who can say no to cute little puppies and kittens? If you are worried about overcrowding, then rest assured that it will never come to that. The number of pets you can keep in a household depends on the number of human sims living there. One sim is equal to six pets at a time.
Love your pets
Taking care of pets in the Sims 2 is almost exactly the same as in real life. Pets can be trained, needs praise and scolding, and needs constant attention. They also age as time passes by so be sure to treasure every moment with them.
