The Outer Rim is a vast hyperspace region in the outer system of galaxies. It is located beyond the Hoth system. The Outer Rim is frequently visited by visiting Rebel Alliance and New Republic troops. The Outer Rim contained many mineral deposits that made it a popular mining location for various star systems. Thus, the planet attracted many civilizations, which resulted to different forms of star wars games.

The Outer Rim introduces a wide variety of blasters and lightsabers designed for Star Wars total conversion mod. In such case, the players are allowed to choose from several blasters and/or ion lasers to build their own ion pole stations and factories on the outer rim. However, the player should be aware that the outer regions of space is not actually hospitable to human beings. The main reason is the extreme cold temperature that can reach up to – legionnaires level in the event that the region is not sealed. Nonetheless, the galaxy contains some high temperature planets that can support human life.

There are three star wars’ sagas with the highest rating that can be found in the outer rim. These sagas include Jedi Knight: The Phantom Pain, Jedi Guardian, and Star Wars: The Old Republic. Each of them features three main races that the players can choose to play as. The player can also encounter three episodes within the sagas. These episodes feature a mixture of both previous episodes as well as the beginning of the new ones.
