A thrilling sequel to the critically acclaimed game
The Last of Us Part II is an action game from Sony Interactive Entertainment that features a post-apocalyptic world where characters must fight for survival following the spread of a fungal pandemic that has attacked most of the world’s population.
The Last of Us Part II takes place five years after the events of its predecessor, The Last of Us Part 1. The gameplay is mostly the same, with the addition of new characters that the protagonists, Joel and Ellie, have come across. Take note, though, that the game features mature themes, such as graphic violence and coarse language.
What can you look forward to?
Much like in the first installment, players can enjoy a thick plot filled with twists and turns in The Last of Us Part II. In this action-adventure title, you can explore a number of locations with hidden secrets and enemies lying around for you to keep an eye out for. Paired with realistic physics, the game’s stunning and lifelike graphics create an immersive experience for players to enjoy.
As previously mentioned, players will have the opportunity to engage in combat with a number of enemies as they continue to progress in the storyline. You can pick up firearms and other special items that you can make use of as makeshift weapons. Players will also have to maximize their stealth abilities by hiding behind obstructions and crawling around in order to evade capture.
With such a large amount of content to explore, players have hours of gameplay to fully immerse themselves in. For some players though, the latter half of the game can feel slow-paced and dragged out due to the lengthy plotline. The numerous characters and subplots can also get quite confusing to keep up with over an extended period of time.
Heart-racing yet emotional
Players can look forward to a number of impressive features in The Last of Us Part II. With its stunning open world and thrilling gameplay experience, it proves to be a stellar follow-up to its predecessor. Although the story can be quite slow-paced at times, it still presents a gripping plotline that can surprise you when you least expect it.
