Massive fanmade mod for Elden Ring
The Convergence – Elden Ring Mod is a free-to-use game utility created by The Convergence Team, a group of independent modders known for creating additional content for Dark Souls 3. In their new project, they will be introducing the largest fanmade mod to the open-world soulslike Elden Ring. Aside from the new character classes, expect new weapons and spells, and reworks for existing dungeons and monsters.
If the Dark Souls 3 convergence is any indication, then The Convergence – Elden Ring Mod will definitely feel like an official DLC from the studio. Expect consistent video and audio quality and minimal gameplay bugs.
Watch the stars align
Elden Ring, like most Soulsborne titles by From Software, is known for its punishing gameplay difficulty and its openness toward custom content. You can check out Pause the game – Elden Ring Mod or Elden ReShade – HDR FX Mod. With The Convergence – Elden Ring Mod, you can expect more customization of the base game. The team behind this project isn’t a newcomer, being previously known for their similarly named DS3 mod.
Elden Ring doesn’t really restrict character builds based on Classes, apart from the initial stats, but this mod will be introducing more options, enriching the game lore in the process. Also, there will be new weapons and spells. With these additions, players can experiment with new gameplay strategies. Furthermore, expect dungeon and monster rework that’ll make the game even more challenging.
Lastly, it’s important to prepare your setup for this add-on. Imagine the storage and the system requirements of the original game. With additional content running using the same engine and delivering the same breathtaking quality, expect sizable extra storage needs. Additionally, despite its wealth of content, take note that it doesn’t work for co-op or player-vs-player (PvP) mode. Doing so could cause the game to crash or get you banned.
Feels like Elden Ring 2
With the massive amount of reworks and content it introduces, The Convergence – Elden Ring Mod feels like the closest thing to an immediate sequel for the hit open-world action-adventure game. Not only does it add new characters, weapons, spells, and enemies, but it also enriches the lore with every addition it provides. You can’t carry any of its content to multiplayer though, but it’s still a must-try.
