Communicate with your friends over the net

TeamSpeak Server is the perfect add-on for the TeamSpeak client. It allows you to create a personal server for voice communication over the Internet. Even if this is not really necessary, as there’s plenty of public TeamSpeak servers you can choose from, it’s always nice to have the option to create one of your own and thus enjoy some more privacy.

The server is run entirely under a web interface, which makes it very simple to use. Right after launching the application a new icon will appear in the system tray as a shortcut to the server’s main window. Configuration options are classified into different categories and can be easily tweaked with just a few mouse clicks. Plus, if you feel lost at any moment you can count on a very complete help system for all of the program’s functions.

As for security, TeamSpeak’s web interface is password-protected in order to prevent unauthorized accesses, so you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. And regarding resources, TeamSpeak Server’s impact on both processor and RAM memory is barely noticeable.

As the server admin, you’ll be able to create channels and user accounts, kick or ban users when necessary and establish different rights to channels and users, amongst other actions. All of them are performed through the web interface and take place immediately. There’s also an area where you can check the server’s statistics and see how many people are connected and how much bandwidth is being used, for example.

If you can’t find your place among TeamSpeak’s public servers, try creating your own with this application. It’s really easy and gives you total control over your voice communications.

Teamspeak is a quality, scalable application which enables people to speak with one another over the Internet. Teamspeak consists of both client and server software. The Teamspeak server acts as a host to multiple client connections, capable of handling literally thousands of simultaneous users. This results in an Internet based teleconferencing solution that works in a variety of applications such as team mates speaking with one another while playing online games, small businesses cutting costs on long distance charges, or for personal communication with friends and family.

Among Teamspeak’s incredible range of features are crystal clear voice communication, Windows/Linux cross-platform design for both the client and server, a built-in web based administration panel for the server, and a highly scalable user permissions system. An added feature to Authorized Teamspeak Host Providers (ATHPs) that wish to rent servers to their customers includes the ability to spawn multiple instances of the server from a single server session, thus easily facilitating “server-farming”.
