Free world reconstructing mod
Tamriel Rebuilt is a free world reconstructing mod for Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind that started as a fanmade project to redevelop the world of Tamriel. The world is rebuilt to include the province’s mainland while maintaining the game’s original vision and direction. The mod is created by the Tamriel Rebuilt Team and is available on Nexus Mods.
This mod requires both the Bloodmoon and Tribunal DLCs as well as the Nexus mod Tamriel_Data. Many mods, like No Fast Travel, Inner Sea Woods, and Helnim Housepod, require this mod. Alternative mods for adding new lands are Wyrmhaven, Province Cyrodiil, Morrowind Code Patch Mod, and Skyrim Home of the Nords.
A highly recommended mod
The Tamriel Rebuilt mod has received praise from gaming sites like PCGamer, Polygon, and TheGamer. The team that created this mod has shown dedication to finishing what Bethesda started and expanded Morrowind to captivate players with a rich, immersive world. This project was 17 years in the making and gave fans a great reason to revisit Morrowind. It fills a blank world that respects the original design and lore of the vanilla game.
Adds an immersive new world
Tamriel Rebuilt adds a landmass bigger than Oblivion’s. The creators filled this new map with new settlements complete with NPCs, dungeons, and many other points of interest. Players will visit and explore major cities such as Old Ebonheart, Necrom, or Port Telvannis. This mod also adds over 350+ quests and questlines. In addition, new armors, weapons, books, spells, and many more items were added to the game.
Installation requirements
When installing you will need the latest version of Morrowind, 1.6820, and both DLCs installed. As this mod doesn’t include its asset files, you’ll need to download Tamriel_Data version 8.0 or later. The Tamriel Rebuilt mod team suggests reading all the information about Tamriel_Data as well as registering both BSAs in your INI.
An actively supported mod
Tamriel Rebuilt is still under development even after all the years they have already put into it. The team is very active on their Discord server, discussing their new ideas and current projects. They even post notes of their meetings so that users are always up to date. The mod’s current version number is 21.01.
