Free and easy to use tabbed synchronization tool

Synchronization has become a huge area for software development as mobile storage devices have increased in ubiquity.

Synkron is a simple application that allows you to sync folders with a flash disk or a folder on your hard disk. There are several key features of Synkron that make it an interesting synchronization option. For example, it allowed tabbed synchronization meaning you can have more than one synchronization running at once. Of course, you can also schedule periodic synchronizations for specific folders.

What’s particularly handy with Synkron is that you can ‘roll-back’ synchronizations that were done in error so that you don’t risk over writing precious data accidentally. You can also add files and folders to a black list to make sure they are never synchronized. Synkron is open source so it’s free to use. Generally Synkron is very easy to use and efficient, although there may be instances where you find that certain data either hasn’t been fully synced or files are missing. I’d advise double checking synchronizations once you’ve finished them.

Synkron is a remarkably good free synchronization tool for an open source application. If you’ve been unimpressed by your file synchronization tool, give it a go now.
