Open-world survival shooter for mobile
Survival Squad: Commando Mission is a free action game for mobile devices by developer Glacier Games. It is a third-person survival shooter wherein players are tasked with taking down an entire army and their convoys all on their own. They’ll have access to an arsenal of weapons to help in their battle.
Compared to games like PUBG Mobile or Fortnite, Survival Squad: Commando Mission also features a large open map to explore. Where the former focuses on multiplayer gameplay, the latter is solely a single-player experience. It also offers multiple game modes aside from the main campaign.
One man army
Survival Squad: Commando Mission is a case of few against many as you take on an entire army with just you and your squad. Lead your team of commandos as you make your way toward an enemy base creating weapons for terrorism. You’ll have access to a variety of armaments like assault rifles, sniper rifles, and even vehicles to help you traverse the large open map.
There are multiple game modes available in Survival Squad: Commando Mission. The first is the single-player campaign for the full experience. Next is for taking on story-based missions with specific objects. Lastly, there’s an endless survival mode to see how long you can last against constant waves of enemies. There are also multiple maps with different environments to take into account as you play.
What’s more, when things start to get too overwhelming, you can search and collect military supplies from enemy bases to increase your chances of survival. The actual gameplay experience still needs more work, especially the AI. Oftentimes, you’re the only one who gets attacked by enemies and the other team members are left unscathed. This is something that needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
Survive and complete your mission
If you like open-world survival games but want a more single-player-focused experience, give Survival Squad: Commando Mission a look. There are multiple game modes and maps to choose from, and plenty of weapons to help you on your missions. The AI behavior can feel a bit unfair and needs more work. Nevertheless, this one is fun and worth a try.
