Action-packed top-down shooter game for PC
Suit for Hire is a premium action game for PC developed by Godmode Interactive. It is a tactical top-down shooter that fluidly blends weapons and martial arts combat into its gameplay. In it, a mysterious assassin goes on a hunt to rid the city of its criminals.
Just like Midnight Fight Express, Suit for Hire trades deep backstory and narrative for brutal and satisfying over-the-top action from start to finish. Players only have one objective, to beat down as many criminals as they can. Each bullet will be essential to their survival.
Dead ringer for a certain assassin
Game adaptations of action films are common nowadays, all attempting to bring the same level of thrill and intensity. One franchise, in particular, that received such treatment is John Wick, telling the story of a melancholic former assassin taking up arms to deal with threats from the criminal underworld—fans didn’t like the adaptation. Then comes Suit for Hire, the John Wick game that should have been in the first place.
Your character in this action game does away with any backstory. Instead, the game focuses on combat — where it shines. Taking down enemies is fluid and lets you seamlessly switch between weapon and melee. Be mindful of your surroundings and decide whether to take down enemies with a gunshot or with your various martial arts moves. All of this while dodging and countering attacks coming your way.
Be aware that you have limited ammo and dodges at your disposal. Thus, forcing you to really think about your moves more deliberately and with intent. The only thing to note before you dive in is that the game is still in early access, so development is still ongoing. Expect more things to come and bug fixes to be made in future updates.
Baba Yaga in all but name
If you’re a fan of the John Wick movies and were left wanting with its official video game adaptation, Suit for Hire swoops in to save the day, offering an experience that should have been in the first place. It’s stylish, challenging, and offers fluid and satisfying combat. Hopefully, it comes out of early access soon. This is highly recommended and a must-play.
