A first-person shooter with a retro feel

STRAFE is a first-person shooter that was created by an indie developer. That is why the graphics are very basic and why they look at little retro. The developers have played on the retro look by modelling the game after games from the 90s except that things are a little more three dimensional.

Did you like games from the 90s?

Common sense suggests that if you liked first person shooter games in the 90s, then you will like STRAFE because it looks like a 3D upgrade of 90s games such as Doom and Quake. However, the game is not very similar to those games at all, which means fans of 90s games will be disappointed. The game promises a bloodbath, but it is not the type of frantic firefight that retro gamers enjoy. It is similar to a free arena shooting game like the ones we have had since the Unreal Tournament games in the 90s.

A first person shooting game with some promise

If you like the types of arena games that people play for free on Steam these days, then you may like STRAFE. If you are looking for a frantic and bloody shoot-em up action like the old Doom and Quake games, then this is not the game for you. It does offer a nice distraction for shooting fans, since there are over twenty enemies to kill and over thirty weapons to try. Hardcore games will only need six to twelve hours to complete the game. If the gamer is going for 100% completion by finding all the secrets, then it can still be completed in twelve hours.
