starQuiz is an easy-to-use software package that makes computerized testing easy. You can create quizzes with multiple choice, multiple select, true or false, short answer, fill in the blank, matching, and essay questions.

Quizzes can include pictures, movies, web links, time limits, and more. And starQuiz makes it easy to give your quiz to students and view the results.

Easy to use

starQuiz makes it easy to create tests, give them to students, and view the results—all from one application. It uses the standard interface on each operating system (Windows, Macintosh, and Macintosh OS 9) so you don’t have to adjust to a confusing internet-based interface.

And built-in help assists you when you’re having problems.

Web-based testing

With one click, you can upload your quiz to the web using the free quiz.

cosmicsoft. net hosting service. Students don’t need to install any special software to take the quiz; they can access it on the Internet using any standard web browser and see their scores immediately after taking the quiz.

Prevent cheating

No one wants to worry about cheating. starQuiz automatically randomizes the order of questions and the choices in multiple choice questions, stopping cheating before it starts—so you don’t have to.

Print quizzes

If you prefer giving quizzes on paper, you can still print out a pre-formatted, complete quiz from the same set of questions—no retyping required.

Just click “Print” to print out as many different forms of your quiz as you want, including answer keys that make grading very easy.

Secure computer lab testing

An alternative to web-based testing is computer-lab testing.

Using the free starQuiz NetClient software, students can connect to a host computer and take a starQuiz quiz. All questions and answers are encrypted to ensure complete security.

Results analysis and graphs

It’s easy to view and compare the results for all the students that took the quiz on the entire quiz or single questions.

You can display the most-missed questions, compare answers between questions or students, and even add notes and give partial credit to students for answers.
