A wave-shooting VR game with added gaming elements
Star Rage VR is a wave shooting game where different enemies come flying at you and you have to destroy them, but between waves you are tasked with different missions such as climbing walls, setting bombs, and so on.
Star Rage VR is a first-person shooting game
If you were to watch the trailer, you wouldn’t think that Star Rage VR is a wave shooting game, but it is, and the trailer makes it appear like an RPG because the shooting tasks you perform are so varied. Plus, between each wave, you are asked to do other task such as chopping through ice, scanning lifeforms, and so on. One of the good things about this game is that enemies spawn to your sides and in front of you, but they do not spawn behind you, which means you do not have to spin around all the time and tangle up your headset cord.
Proof that wave shooters in this era are getting better
Star Rage VR was brought out during a time when good VR games are hard to find. Is Star Rage VR good? Well, it isn’t bad. It is a shame that the game falls back on a wave-shooting premise, especially when it teases the idea of a free-running and free-roaming game in the trailer. Nevertheless, this game is varied and interesting enough to keep players happy for hours.
