Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2019, also known as SSG2019, is a productivity application bearing a survey conducted by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. This survey app aims to ascertain sanitation status and rank districts and states in the country based on their performance on key sanitation parameters. It works as a feedback tool, gathering inputs from the citizens to see the sanitation status in their area. The app comes with a clean and easy to use interface design wherein you only need to answer various questions according to your observations and even suggestions. It has a language switch option which allows you to take the survey in your mother tongue. SSG2019 values the opinion of the people as an essential component of their cause and will use it as input towards achieving their goal. However, while the app was made for a government initiative, it is created by a non-government company. No assurance was given when it comes to the respondents’ data security.
