Dominate the space race in this free game
Space Racing 3D is a free racing video game that lets you take to the skies beyond and explore the galaxy in a snazzy ride. Developed by Feamber, this 3D sci-fi racing game features cool spaceships and gravity tracks for you to master.
Similar to City Racing 3D, Space Racing 3D lets you compete against AI enemies on the racetracks. The controls here are much easier to manage on PC, however—despite the lack of a proper tutorial. It lets you unlock various ships and weapons to take on your rivals, too.
Make use of your cool tech
In Space Racing 3D, your goal is to complete laps around the track to get a medal and progress to the next level. There are 70 levels, offering three game modes: Classic, Test Drive, and 1-on-1. Unfortunately, you can’t just select a game mode to proceed. You have to play through each level just to get to a mode you want, which is a strange game design.
There’s no in-depth tutorial for the keyboard controls but they’re easy enough to figure out. The WASD keys or arrow keys are for controlling your spacecraft, such as strafing to the left and right, slowing down, and shooting beams forward. There’s no need to worry about acceleration and braking, as the ship automatically moves and doesn’t fall off the track. You just need to use speed boosts to get ahead.
Graphics-wise, the quality isn’t too bad but what’s really impressive here is the detail regarding the maps and background. The atmosphere really does exhibit a grand space race adventure and the inclusion of futuristic weapons and buffs make for a memorable little game. The only other thing it could improve upon is the configuration for the settings, like having a volume slider.
Still needs a bit of tweaking
All in all, Space Racing 3D is a wonderful sci-fi-themed racing title if you want something free and easy to get into. While it could use some tweaking for the game mode selection and settings, it’s still a pretty solid racing game that adds more detail to its atmosphere than what most people expect.
