Stream your music to other Android devices via wifi
SoundSeeder Music Player is a music player with a special feature: it lets you stream music from your Android device to other Android devices over a WiFi network.
Stream and listen to your music at home or at a party through multiple devices in different rooms. Listen to your music with SoundSeeder Music Player and connect additional Android devices as wireless speakers.
An app with an interesting hook
SoundSeeder Music Player is an application whose value lies in a single, key feature. It uses a WiFi network to play music on any other Android smartphone or tablet connected to the same network.
Besides that standout feature, the player also includes a set of basic features: Search for songs, artists, albums, genres, and playlists. SoundSeeder Music Player doesn’t include an equalizer or any other advanced options. As for formats, it supports MP3, MP4, M4A, AAC, 3GP, OGG, and FLAC.
Setting up a speaker on an Android device
Run SoundSeeder Music Player on your device and install the SoundSeeder Speaker on any additional device you want to connect to. Once you’ve done that, select the desired “speaker” from within SoundSeeder and listen away! The trial version limits you to four minutes of connection time and only one device (you can upgrade to the full version from within the app).
Overall, SoundSeeder Music Player works well, although we detected some skips in playback during our test. Depending on your phone model, you may encounter this or other problems (the author mentions them here).
A party in every room
A player like SoundSeeder Music Player isn’t for everyone. However, if you’re looking for an app that streams music at parties or while cooking and you have multiple Android devices around the house, it’s an original idea and a good bet.
