smarterPod: Simple and Smart Podcast Player

smarterPod is a Google Chrome extension that allows users to listen to podcasts in the background of their browser. With its feed management capabilities and Chrome notifications on title change, smarterPod aims to be the most straightforward way to listen to podcasts without the need for extra tabs or external applications.

One of the standout features of smarterPod is its Google Storage Sync capability, which allows users to sync their partially listened episodes and current playlists across multiple computers. This means that no matter which computer you’re on, you’ll always have access to your most updated content and saved episodes.

In the latest version (0.3), smarterPod has introduced the ability to search for your favorite podcasts on Apple’s iTunes Podcast database. This makes it even easier to discover and listen to new podcasts directly within the extension.

Although smarterPod is currently in beta, the developer has plans to add more features in the future, including custom feed retrieval. Users are encouraged to provide feedback and report any bugs they encounter through the GitHub page or via email.
