Skyrim in free multiplayer mode
Skyrim Together mod for Skyrim is a free video game utility that allows you to add a multiplayer option to the hit single-player video game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Starting as a passion project by a small team of volunteers, Skyrim Together aims to be a true Skyrim multiplayer experience without much of Skyrim’s same-old bugs. This mod is geared more towards co-op play rather than the MMO style, so it’s recommended to use Skyrim Together with only around 2 to 8 players. Skyrim Together can be used with other mods, as well—but don’t expect it to be a fine match, as this mod relies on the purity of the base game.
Party up
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an action-fantasy role-playing video game developed by Bethesda. The game is known for its RPG combat system and its open-world exploration. Not to mention its random encounters that make each playthrough unique. The game is also known for its support for modifications. In fact, there are tons of mods available for this 2011 classic game. Unfortunately, despite all those goodies, you can only play the game by yourself.
The vanilla Skyrim has no multiplayer or co-op mode to let you team up with others. Luckily, the Skyrim Together mod is here to sate this need. With this mod, you can sync up with other players in one server and be able to play the game together. You can see your character with your friend’s characters, share inventory chests, be able to watch scripted events together, and have each a follower of your own.
However, Skyrim Together has limits that will remind you of its active development. For one, some features won’t sync in the co-op mode. There will also be no direct trading system, and some console commands won’t work. More so, you cannot complete quests as a party. Skyrim Together is only for the 2011 edition of Skyrim and Skyrim: Special Edition. The mod cannot support pirated copies. Plus, it’s recommended to pair it with Creation Kit mods. All in all, though, Skyrim Together is an exciting project to try and keep an eye on.
