Realistic signal simulator highly-inspired by SETI

Signal Simulator is a video game developed by Blagovest Penev. It is an indie game simulated by Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, more popularly known as SETI—an institute that studies scientific searches for intelligent extraterrestrial life. In the game, you will play as a scientist who is on a mission to search for an extraterrestrial signal. This signal will massively control the radio antennas using the interactive command from your observatory. Your aim here is to search for storytelling signals, which will not only give you more data but will also tell the story of explorers from outer space.

Decode signals from space

To locate, detect, and decode signals from outer space, you must set the right signal frequency. You also need to appoint coordinates that will properly control your radio antennas using the interactive game controls. After determining the signal, you must download the raw data and decode it. Doing so will earn you credits based on the data you have downloaded. You can use the credits you obtained to upgrade and enhance the systems in your observatory.

Signal Simulator offers three difficulty modes, namely Easy, Medium, and Hard. The difference between the three is every movement of solar panel in Easy mode provides you real-time advice. However, it pays low credits. Medium mode, on the other hand, gives signal strength feedback every time you stop the solar panel. It also offers a higher credit rate. Finally, Hard mode requires you to rescan the signal strength after every solar panel movement. It also rewards the most credit points.

Players may fin find this simulation game boring since it doesn’t contain fast-paced action and challenging levels. However, if you stick throughout the playthrough, you’ll know how mastering every system’s game controls, as well as setting the appropriate signal frequency and coordinates, can squeeze your brain. The excitement also heavily lies in successfully scanning a simple extraterrestrial signal. You’ll feel a huge satisfaction whenever you capture and decode those.
