A tool for removing unnecessary Windows services
Service-Defuser is a free tool that aims to improve performance and decrease RAM usage on Windows-based machines. To achieve this, it removes unnecessary Windows services that aren’t usually straightforward to remove using conventional means. This process should make it easier for less-experienced users to improve the performance of their machines.
There are many different ways to improve the performance of Windows devices. Driver Booster achieves this by ensuring drivers are updated. Service-Defuser works more like MemoryCleaner, as it removes services that are no longer needed but are still taking up memory and processing power.
Removing Windows clutter
Windows comes loaded with many services that are not optional installation, but whether or not the user needs them, they still take up memory and processing power. Service-Defuser aims to improve the performance of Windows-based computers by removing several of the least useful services, such as “Tablet Input Device” and “Windows Connect Now.”
Simple operation
This program comes in the form of a batch (.BAT) file, which means the user only needs to run the batch file like they would an executable file, and it will carry out the necessary commands to remove the services. This utility is useful because these services cannot always be removed through the usual methods. This app makes removing these services possible for less-experienced users.
Simple but not configurable
While the operation of Server-Defuser is as simple as double-clicking a file, there is no simple way to modify the services that will be removed, which may be a problem if a user wants to keep some of the services that this program removes. It is possible to exclude services from removal, but the user will need to edit the batch file, which requires some expertise.
